Banger Driving Rules

  • Driving the opposite way (on oppo) will be allowed on the bends only for every race except the DD (Demolition Derby), where driving the opposite way will be allowed anywhere.
  • At no time & under no circumstances, other than in a DD (Demolition Derby), should anyone attempt to drive the wrong way up the straights or hit a car head on from the opposite direction on the straight. This includes reversing up the straight. It does not matter if you hit a car or not, it is still oppo on the straight.
  • Turning around on the infield and/or on the straight to drive back to the bend is not allowed.
  • Corner cutting will not be allowed at any meeting.
  • Blocking will not be allowed at any meeting other than team meetings. Blocking is the act of obstructing someone else from moving away, i.e. being on the brakes in front of someone and slowing them up.
  • Pinning will not be allowed at any meeting other than team meetings. Pinning is preventing a car from moving by holding them back in a specific way, i.e. against the fence or pushing them the wrong way round the bend after doing them on opposite.
  • Sandbagging will not be allowed at any meeting other than team meetings. Sandbagging is purposefully slowing down significantly from racing speed, and waiting for someone to then attack and/or obstruct.
  • Leaning another car to the infield is not allowed, i.e turning into a car forcing them to hit an object/wall/tyre on the infield.
  • Leaning another car to the outside is allowed, i.e turning into a car forcing them to hit an wall/post on the outside wall.
  • Lunging is not illegal, however constant lunging and/or poor driving standards, may be subject to disciplinary action.
  • Attacking cars from/off the infield or on the infield is not allowed under any circumstances.
  • You must stay on the race track at all times. The infield may only be used when parking up, for example when having computer or controller issuse etc. It is not for diving on to, to avoid getting hit or baiting people to hit you on there, so you can get them banned. If you are found doing any of this, you may be subject to disciplinary action.
  • If you are found to be bringing grievances or drama over from other leagues or games, you may be subject to disciplinary action.

Skins (Custom Painted Cars)

  • Cars are available for any member without their own custom skin in game. You can use in game paint schemes and liveries but these are not for extended periods of use on UKDirt.

  • You are not permitted to switch cars during the meeting.
  • Any new/updated skins must be uploaded to the website or sent to a UKDirt Banger admin by 9pm Monday before each meeting.

  • It must be made clear what car these skins are for.
  • All files must be fully converted and ready to go in game.
  • Required Files (replace XXX with your race number):

    • skinXXX_damaged_s.bmap

  • Only UKDirt champions are allowed to display their championship grade in UKDirt. Any skins sent in with a championship roof grade from another league will not be permitted.
  • Any skin with abuse towards a member or swearing on this will be not permitted and could face disciplinary action.

Bookings

  • Bookings are open for the week preceding a meeting on the UKDirt website, in the members area.
  • Members wishing to race should book in before 6pm on the day of a meeting.
  • Any bookings after 6pm on the day of the meeting are considered late bookings, accepted only at the discretion of the RM (Race Manager). Late bookings are regularly accepted up to 7.30pm, but this is no indication of future arrangements.
  • Warning! For championship meetings, members wishing to race are advised to avoid late booking or they may forfeit their place on the grid.
  • Any member booking for a meeting and not racing (without reasonable explanation) will incur a messer strike, as part of the wider UKDirt scheme.
  • Warning! There is no such thing as a 'provisional' booking, please don't use it to play the messer strike system, if you think you will struggle to make a meeting that you are booked in to race let the RM know.
  • UKDirt Banger Admin reserve the right to refuse any booking, from any driver, for any reason.

Disciplinary

  • This section relates only to the UKDirt Banger league.
  • Disciplinary matters are incredibly simple - If you do something wrong, then you might get in trouble!
  • If you have a complaint, get in touch with the UKDirt Banger Admin Team, preferably Dode. Please send a Private Message on the UKDirt Forum including details of the incident (which race, which lap, which cars, etc) and please include your video footage which is required. This complaint should be submitted before midnight in the Thursday following the meeting.
  • The UKDirt Banger Team will aim to deal with complaints within 1 week.
  • Disciplinary action will be posted to the relevant thread on the UKDirt Banger section of the Forum, and any member with disciplinary action against them will also be informed by PM on the UKDirt Forum. If you do not have an account on the forum, then your ban will be posted without you being informed.
  • Review may take place whether there is a complaint lodged or not.
  • Constant rule breaking may result in a permanent ban from Bangers.
  • Disciplinary points procedure:
    • Offences will incur disciplinary points, determined on a case by case basis.
    • Any driver receiving 5 or more disciplinary points in one meeting will incur an additional 2 disciplinary points.
    • Disciplinary points incurred will stay on a members record for 12 months.
    • A total of 5 points means a 1 meeting ban and every further 2 points adds another week (7 points = 2 meetings, 9 points = 3 meetings, 11 points = 4 meetings, etc).
    • Disciplinary points information is kept in a thread on the UKDirt Banger section of the UKDirt Forum.
  • Appealing against disciplinary points/actions:
    • If a member feels that a disciplinary outcome is unsatisfactory they should appeal the decision (and may be permitted to race under appeal if appropriate).
    • The member should contact a member of the Banger Admin Team (preferably by PM on the forum to Dode) stating their case in full.
    • The UKDirt Banger Admin Team, and potentially other UKDirt Admin members, will review each appeal case.
    • If an appeal has no substance, or appears to serve no purpose other than to waste the time of admin members, beware that there is potential to take further disciplinary action.
    • The outcome of an appeal is FINAL.
